Fort Pierce Saved from Water Damage

The leak in the roof after a sudden rainstorm soaked a portion of the ceiling and walls in this Fort Pierce house. Fortunately, the homeowner immediately called SERVPRO to mitigate the water damage. Our crew soon arrived; we're Faster To Any Size Disaster and placed a tarp over the damaged roof area to prevent more water damage. The water stains, as depicted in the Before Photo, carried contaminants but little water. We could dry the water-damaged ceiling panels and wallboard with axial fans, air movers, and a desiccant dehumidifier. Using moisture meters, we determined that the treated building materials were dry; we left until the following day. After rechecking the water-damaged surfaces, we then painted the ceiling and preserved the popcorn texture, thereby reducing the unwanted experience for our customer to the minimum, "Like it never even happened."
